You can store contacts on the SIM card, directly on your phone, or both. Contacts on the SIM card have only a name and one number. To add other details (more phone numbers, email address) and assign a picture or custom ring tone, you must store contacts on the phone.

To transfer your contacts from your old phone to your new phone, save all contacts to your SIM card on your old phone. When you put the SIM card into your new phone, the contacts appear in your contacts list.
