Transfer music to phone

Use Windows Media Player 11 to copy and sync music files between your computer and phone. Download free Windows Media Player 11 to your computer from www.microsoft.com.

From main menu:

  1. Select Settings > Connection.
  2. Select USB Settings.
  3. Select Media Sync.
  4. Attach the Motorola Original USB cable to the USB port on your phone and to a USB port on your computer.
  5. On your computer, start Windows Media Player.
  6. Select Sync tab in Windows Media Player.
  7. Drag and drop songs or playlists onto the Sync List.
  8. Click Start Sync to copy songs to phone.
  9. Disconnect phone from computer.

Play music

You can play music by playlist, artist, album, song, or genre.

Tip: On a plane, you can listen to music with a wired headset. Use Airplane Mode to prevent your phone from communicating with the network. From main menu, select Settings > Airplane Mode > On.

From main menu:

  1. Select Multimedia > My Media.
  2. Select Music.
  3. Select All Songs.
  4. Select a song. Use * and # to page up/down in song list.
  5. Press to play song.
  6. Choose one or more:

Adjust sound settings

You can adjust settings for stereo sound and the equalizer, controlling the sound of the phone’s speaker or your stereo headset.

From main menu:

  1. Select Multimedia > My Media.
  2. Select Music.
  3. Select Options > Music Setup.
  4. Select Stereo Headset or Loudspeaker.
  5. Adjust settings.

Play radio

Use phone’s speakers to listen out loud, or use wired or Bluetooth headset to listen privately.

From main menu:

  1. Select Multimedia.
  2. Select Radio.
  3. Choose one or more:

Name that song

Note: This feature is network, SIM card, or subscription dependent and may not be available in all areas.

Your phone can listen to music playing and tell you what song it is!

From main menu:

  1. Select Multimedia.
  2. Select MotoID.
  3. Place phone near speaker and press .

You will receive an SMS with the artist and song details.
