Create or edit contacts

You can store contacts on the SIM card, directly on your phone, or both. Contacts on the SIM card have only a name and one number. To add other details (more phone numbers, email address) and assign a picture or custom ring tone, you must store contacts on the phone.

From main menu:

  1. Select Phonebook.
  2. Choose one:
  3. Enter or edit contact name and number.
  4. If contact is stored on phone, you can:
  5. Press Done.

Transfer your contacts

To transfer your contacts from your old phone to your new phone, save all contacts to your SIM card on your old phone. When you put the SIM card into your new phone, the contacts appear in your contacts list.

To copy contacts from the SIM to your phone, from main menu:

  1. Select Phonebook.
  2. Select contact.
  3. Select Options > Copy to Phone.

Change storage location

You can change the default storage location for any new contacts you create.

From main menu:

  1. Select Phonebook.
  2. Select Options > Setup.
  3. Select Store Contacts to.

Sort and filter contacts

If you have many contacts, use filters to narrow which contacts are displayed. You can filter by:

Use speed dial

To assign a speed dial number, from main menu:

  1. Select Phonebook.
  2. Scroll to contact and select Options > Add to Speed Dial.
  3. Select an unassigned speed dial key and press Select.

To speed dial, press and hold assigned key.

To edit speed dial list, from main menu:

  1. Select Phonebook.
  2. Select Options > Setup > Speed Dial List.

Share contacts

Note: This feature is network, SIM card, or subscription dependent and may not be available in all areas.

You can share contacts by sending them in a Multimedia message, in an email, or to a Bluetooth device.

From main menu:

  1. Select Phonebook.
  2. Select contact to share.
  3. Select Options > Share > Contact.
  4. Select method for sharing and follow prompts.

Synchronize

Note: This feature is network, SIM card, or subscription dependent and may not be available in all areas.

You can call an Internet server and synchronize your phonebook and datebook with that server.

From main menu:

  1. Select Tools.
  2. Select MOTOSYNC.
  3. Select Sync.
