Hello, using a sfotware for unlocking p2k phones via web it's possible to copy the flash file of our moto phones in our PC using a standard USB cable...!
It seems strange to say, but I've done it and it works!
Now, don't be too happy, because it's not all ok...
In fact, as I said, it's possible to copy the flash memory but the file you can save isn't in a shx format, but in a binary one...
Btw it's anyway a positive thing... :)
So, here you are that I've done:
I've downloaded the remote-unlocking software Hammer, and keeping on the internet connection and the connection with the p2k phone I've ran it.
So, using the test username and password, I've started it... So after trying the "info" function, I've set and started the "Read Chip" function.
About it, I shoud say that in the Hammer's web site you can ask to be registered for free to get more features (some free, others to be paied), and there *should* be also the "Writing chip" function, but I'm not sure about it because I didn't received my login informations yet.
Btw, the phone is gone in Flash Mode and after reading all the flash memory, I've saved the generated file. Then the mobile should go back to the normal mode, but in my case the software didn't received a packet by the server so I had to abort the operation (and I must say that I wasn't so calm ), and restart the phone removing the battery and then restarting the phone holding the "red" button.
Finally everything was fine (and this is normal in a reading operation).
The generated file is a binary one and insite you can see (using an hex editor) lots of links to files saved in the phone memory or text shown or, the gif images used by phone like MIDI, jpeg...
The file should be a "Full flash" (not a reflash), or an "Hybrid" one, because there are inside some system files I've edited (like mma_ucp), but there aren't fotos or images, videos, sounds...
Imho, also if the writing action whouldn't possible using Hammer, we could use software like SHX Master o Flextools (modified) to convert the binary coded file to a shx coded one....
According to me, here we can work on to create a software stand-alone which will be able to do the same without using a server... :)
And this is a question for you :) who seem the better coders for p2k phones... There's no software better than the ones you made clap;applo
BYE!!!
