Hi guyz! I'm posting this thread here, because me and Nikhil have and and idea and a request to the creators of all new modded firmwares and skinners.
The whole thing is, to have all skins working on all firmwares without any problems by using the same configuration for custom icons (file manager mod and mgx apps in menu)
1. File extensions in file manager
Here is optimized fm_extensions file where all unnecessary extensions like "dvd" or "exe" has been removed
and "qm" and some other were added.
see that they are all:
fm_extension_small | for small icon in list mode in file manager
or
fm_extension_thb | for big icon in thumbnail mode
If You are making new firmware please use this cfg.
Here are the graphics to add to iconres
2. Folders in file manager (Mgx, Skins, Unknows files, mmca2)
This is just a small fix of motorola's work.
I am a bit precisian and i want to show you my idea.
You decide to apply it or not but it would be good if all modders and skinners will use one standard.
**Important thing is to edit ezx_mystuffstruct.cfg when you add any folder icon

Icons to add:
a) Downloads and Unknown files
Reason: both folders had the same icon
Downloads folder icon stays the same
Only unknown files icon gets changed

(those icons are already present in stock onyx iconres but ezx_mystuffstruct does not use them, don't
know why - motorola's fault

b) Skins
Reason: skins folder had the same icon as pictures folder.

c) Mpkgbox folder
Reason: Mpkgbox folder had the same icon as downloads and unrecognizable files folders
We use mgx packages so why it is called mpkg ?
the real folder name stays mpkgbox but in file manager it will display as "Mgx"

Reason: mmca2 folder used downloads folder icon (yes, there were 4 folders with the same icon in extremal situations
