This is really easy to follow. This great, great discovery was achieved by alfun9
There are very few steps, all of them are very easy to follow.
Remember that this firmware is only to be installed in the Motorola RAZR V3i non iTunes (R479) if your V3i has iTunes (R47A) you will kill your phone.
1) First, reflash your phone with this firmware: R4441D_G_08.01.03R (http://www.mfteam.eu/firmware/v3i/Reflash/R4441D_G_08.01.03R_reflash_mlp_mdrm_DC.rar)
Dont worry about using this one, i and many others ahve used it in our V3i R479 and everythings OK.
Avoid using another verson of this firmware series (R4441D_G_08.02.03R) because it wont let you reflash any other firmware version to your phone. The version im linking you to has no restrictions. However, thi firmware rocks. It's stable, reasonable fast...
2) Then, backup everything in your phone: pictures, tones, videos, phonebooks, SEEMs, etc EXCEPT SEEM 0032_0001. If you do it, you'll lose the EDGE drive and you'll have to do it all over again.
3) Flex your phone with this China Mobile branded flex: GSVSLQAET678HB054_DC (http://rapidshare.com/files/11777297/GSVSLQAET678HB054_DC.sbf.html)
And you're done. Now, you have to debrand your phone (remove all the China Mobile contents) if you want to.... wont take you more than 5-10 minutes.
Be sure not to use your previous seem 0032, if you do it, you'll lose the EDGE drive and you'll have to do it all over again.
I've bee using this for a few hours.... things load considerably fast, and Opera Mini is a killer.
Add-on:
Motorola MIDLets Manager wont recognize the phone, so you have to do a little edit to the programs scripts. Open motomidman.ini and ad to Mode2 = R4441D should look like this
Mode2 = R4513 R4515 R3511 R479 R47A R4517 R478 R444LH2 R44419 R3512 R4441D
and you are done!
