Since you have post this thread, i don't think i need to open another one.
I can give an offical introduction for you to update thread and also the newest rom we published.(We will fix the chinese hard string you metioned)
Featrues I'd like to talk about:
1st.Redefine the cm theme system so it is more suit for theme work, fix disgusting hard code.
I have done several representative theme like sense, GingerBlur, Meizu, MIUI, ics 4.0 and etc. More theme will be available as many ui worker of our forum take part in this.
2nd.More function in expanded status bar, such as phone data monitor, clean tool for sdcard and etc.
3rd.More function in system menu:
1.Multi-Touch Settings
2.Adblock(update host list from our server)
3.Advance Switches for your phone, like Google service switcher, auto call record, shutter sound switch.
4.Baseband Switcher(Your BasebandSwither v4 is from "bbs.mfunz.com" too, the last domain name "bbs.itfunz.com" was shutting down by Chinese goverment as some political reason )
5.OverClock Settings
6.Screen Test to check dead pixel
7.an interface to check your purchase infomation
8.support tethering & portable hotspot

DEFY, + version is the official 2.3 kernel.
2012-02-25 updates:
BUG correction:
A modified project library the default lock screen back button to hang up overlay
(2) the amendment is not open the Caller ID phone card calls automatically collapse BUG
(3) Speaking of imperfect field
Fixed Lunar Calender in the application of the BUG on the DEFY
Enabled by default to determine the location using a wireless network and Wifi
6 Change the default settings to flight mode, flight mode, the default does not turn off WiFi
Correction SMS contact has been head of pop can not be displayed BUG
Update the latest version of Gallery3D to Google
9 Fixed contact button to display the dislocation BUG

2. Copy *.zip to sdcard
3. Reboot your device in BootMenu/ClockWork
4. WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
5. Install the *zip
6. reboot

install ginger-blur trans.apk
go theme chooser
aplied ginger-blur trans

Хотя различия, конечно, есть и мне показалась по-шустрее она. Будь русифицированная для простого дефи - я бы попользовался...
