Is there any check sum I need to update to have a modified flash file working propably on RAZR?

Yes, if you edit a Codegroup in SMG/BIN you need ricalculating the Checksum (16Bit) in the Header :).

You can do it with a HEX Editor (preferably HEX Workshop).

And after you need editing Header and writing the Checksum in Little Endian an Example:

If the checksum is E0 1C
You will write 1C E0

But you need knowing the Offset of the Checksum of the Modded Codegroup :D

But if you use the Replace Feature of SHX CoDec you can do it in automatic!!! :)
But unfortunately SHX CoDec doesn't work with SLVR L7,V3i,V3x,E1070/V1075........ full-flash :( so if you made a SW for these Handle you need working in HEX :P

Ok gurus,
I managed to bypass the checksum error, now the modified flash is uploading quite well.. Now the device is comming up with a new error, it says "phone code sig error:35:02:". What now guys? is there a signiture I need to change too to have the modified flash working?!?!!?

Any help will be apreciated!

Firmware is protected by digital signature (RSA with 1024 bit key).
To sign your modified firmware you'll need Motorola's private key :)

However, on some old models sig check can be bypassed with a patch. This method is widely used to flash E1 ROKR firmware into E398.
I don't know if this works on V3 RAZR, but definitely it doesn't on V3i and V3x.
FlashBackup 3 can be used for removing sig check, or you can find manual method.
Just don't forget to back up your original firmware before you kill your phone :)

I tired FlashBackup 3.0.53 with RAZR v3i+itune and it failed to disable RSA check. What other methods I can try?

blackbox, I think ROKR is lynux not p2k... Is there any other p2k device I can disable the RSA protection on it?
